Since upgrading from 3095 to 3133 my web site is displaying an odd character (question mark inside a dark diamond) instead of the degree symbol. I never experienced this issue with the older builds. Interestingly, well to me anyway, it only manifests itself in the lat/long area and on temps. The degree symbol renders correctly for the wind bearing displays. I've done some searching and can't find anyone else who seems to be seeing this quirk and I don't where to start troubleshooting.
If it matters, I'm self hosting the site on a Ubuntu 20.04 PC with CumulusMX running as a service at startup. There's nothing else running on the box and everything is up to date software wise. A screen shot is below. If anyone has any suggestions about where to start looking I'd be grateful.

Re: Odd Character Has Replaced Degree Symbol
Hi,
The only thing I can suggest is in Internet Settings > Web/FTP Settings > General Settings >[tick] UTF-8 encoding
Enjoy,
Paul

Re: Odd Character Has Replaced Degree Symbol
Please see Cumulus documentation at https://cumuluswiki.org/a/Reports_folde ... _matter.3F.
I don't know why websitedata.json uses different ways to indicate degree symbol in those cases, MX should be learning from past.
Your problem has been around a long time, and you can see that Steve Loft at viewtopic.php?p=184#p184 was predicting his next beta build would try to ensure that the latter was used everywhere in Cumulus 1!
If you read all the in-between release announcements, you would know all the Settings have been revisited by the developer during the in-between builds. Paul's reply does describe one setting you need, assuming that you used extra web files before..
The difference between the two is one uses a particular binary character (that in one encoding shows as a degree symbol), the other uses a HTML encoding for a degree symbol.

That is a big jump, did you read the advice at https://cumuluswiki.org/a/Updating_MX_t ... ld_version?

Re: Odd Character Has Replaced Degree Symbol
That did the trick. Since I had the UTF-8 box checked in the Extra Files section I never gave this option a second look.
Thanks!
