Cumulus Support

I have set up email to send via my SMTP (smtp.outlook365.com) and all fields are filled in correctly!

I get this message in the MXDiags file when sending a test email from Alarms section....

Email setting screen attached I understand the 'sent without error' isn't right!!

I got the same errors, using my isp smtp, even tried localhost and saw no entries in the mail log files.

It's a bug in the send mail function - if you switch on email logging - Program Settings > General Settings - the error will not occur.

I'll fix this in a future release.

That did the trick Mark.
I did enter logging=1 in ini file but I didn't restart MX as I thought with updating settings with the dashboard it would reload on its own. either way it now works

after upgrade to build 3130 i still need to switch on email logging.

I have also noticed that, when I restart MX, the mail logging check box in the program general settings doesn't seem to hold. I have to check it again. Not sure if this is deliberate.

did you click the "save" button at the bottom of the screen when you select the option?

In the 'small print' on the email logging page it says that this setting is only for this session. If you restart CumulusMX you need to reset the logging.

It does fix the temporary problem though!

Thanks for the feedback. I did hit the save button after checking the box but I think Phil might have it - the setting only holds for the current session. Is this to prevent large log files? otherwise might be good to have it hold the setting.
