Help Please - NOAA Reports - Website FTP

From build 3044 the development baton passed to Mark Crossley. Mark has been responsible for all the Builds since. He has made the code available on GitHub. It is Mark's hope that others will join in this development, but at the very least he welcomes your ideas for future developments (see Cumulus MX Development suggestions).

I think you have to change your NOAA FTP directory to /Reports (rather than /)

I know there have been some recent conversations regarding NOAA reports. Maybe use the forum Search facility to find them? I think you may have to make a change in one of the javascript files on your website too.

Hi,
Do you want the NOAA reports to be in your remote root or in another folder?
I have mine in a /Reports folder like http://www.komokaweather.com/cumulusmx/ ... YR2021.txt
and in my CumulusMX NOAA settings I have the FTP directory as public_html/cumulusmx/Reports
Then in the js/noaarpts.js I had to modify the default let rptPath = ''; to let rptPath = 'Reports/'; for the reports to display http://www.komokaweather.com/cumulusmx/noaareport.htm

Enjoy,
Paul

Glad to share my experiences...
Presumably you are aware that the reports are created and FTP at end of day. You can manually FTP the existing files and then they should display from your website Reports tab.

Enjoy,
Paul

just to clarify

please edit the file here:

https://metwatcher.co.uk/js/noaarpts.js

change:

Code: Select all

let rptPath = '';
to:

Code: Select all

let rptPath = 'Reports/';
save and then refresh your web browser

OK ...

Post midnight check.

You have either ftp'd or Cumulus has uploaded your reports to Reports/

... but js/noaareports.js is still looking in the 'root' for them.

So do as Simon posted above.

just remember the change is to the file on your webserver and not in CumuluMX, as it is not automatically uploaded to the webserver.

Re: Help Please - NOAA Reports - Website FTP

it only shows that because there are only two files in the reports directory

https://metwatcher.co.uk/Reports/

Code: Select all

NOAAMO0421.txt	2021-05-01 00:00	3.3K
NOAAYR2021.txt	2021-05-01 00:00	2.0K
if you have more NOAA reports in your cumulus install you will need to upload them manually. now you have a website setup, the upload of noaa files will be for new files only.

do you have any more NOAA files in the CumulusMX install?
