New default website - issue with NOAA monthly reports

From build 3044 the development baton passed to Mark Crossley. Mark has been responsible for all the Builds since. He has made the code available on GitHub. It is Mark's hope that others will join in this development, but at the very least he welcomes your ideas for future developments (see Cumulus MX Development suggestions).

New default website - issue with NOAA monthly reports

Post by Dolmen »

Hello,

I've just upgraded my CMX from build 3072 to build 3121 (a huge step forward! :clap: ) and everyhing seems to be fine...

I've also upgraded the website as well, uploading the new default files... hope to find the time to customize them soon.

Now, I have a problem with month NOAA reports on the website: for years 2007 to 2009 I can see the year reports only.

The month NOAA files are all present on the server, together with the year NOAA files (eg: http://genovameteo.altervista.org/cumul ... MO1208.txt )

At first I guessed it's because from 2007 to 2009 my NOAA report files were generated by WetherDisplay software, but that software generated the year reports as well, and they all are fine.

A last information: locally, CMX can read perfectly both year and month NOAA reports from 2007 to now.

Thank you,
Alessandro

EDIT: the website is at: http://genovameteo.altervista.org/cumulus/

Hmmmm...., thanks for the quick answer!

From what you posted, seems like there's an issue with the webpage looking for month files before Jan2010.

The webpage looks for NOAAMO"MMy".txt instead of NOAAMO"MMyy".txt

eg: for nov2008 the webpage looks for NOAAMO118.txt instaed of NOAAMO1108.txt

Is this correct?

Thats what it appears to be shown on the page, Perhaps Mark can shed some light on what is happening. your files (TXT files) appear to be correctly named.

CumulusMX:

Default = 'NOAAMO'MMyy'.txt'
Default = 'NOAAYR'yyyy'.txt'

There is a bug in the noaarpts.js file - line 63 should be...

Code: Select all

                        url: rptPath + 'NOAAMO' + pad2(m) + pad2(y - 2000) + '.txt',
and line 102 should be...

Code: Select all

    reqRpt = rptPath + 'NOAAMO' + month + pad2(yr - 2000) + '.txt';
I only tested back to Jan 2010 when my reports started. :(
