Cloud Base

From build 3044 the development baton passed to Mark Crossley. Mark has been responsible for all the Builds since. He has made the code available on GitHub. It is Mark's hope that others will join in this development, but at the very least he welcomes your ideas for future developments (see Cumulus MX Development suggestions).

Post by mat68 »

Hi
I have a short question, as I dont find that here in the Forum
my Cloudbase shows 500m
I live on 850 m - means 850m + 500m?
Also while saying that it whows 500m but there is no cloud at all, blue sky, can soemone explain this so I understand this?
Thanks a lot
Cheers
Mat

The measurement is above Ground Level, so it is irrelevant how high you are as the cloud base is 500M above where the readings were taken i.e. you weather station site.

@water01: it is not a measurement, it is a calculated estimation. That is slightly different.
