Release 3120 - NOAA Reports
I'm having issues displaying the NOAA reports on the new template. All my reports are in standard NOAA format and currently ftp'd direct to the root folder of my website. However, the reports page displays the message "Did not find the required report" and none of the reports are visible. I'm assuming there is a subtle coding editing issue somewhere, but I'd be grateful for some guidance in how to put it right.

You're missing a slash in your directory setting..
/NOAA-reports
Needs to be /NOAA-reports/
/NOAA-reports
Needs to be /NOAA-reports/

Re: Release 3120 - NOAA Reports
edit your /js/noaarpts.js on the webserver and change:
to:
Code: Select all
let rptPath = '/NOAA-reports';Code: Select all
let rptPath = 'NOAA-reports/';-

Re: Release 3120 - NOAA Reports
I have just realised I had not turned on NOAA reports for my site.
I have activated them now via the Admin Interface - and checked and re-generated them. Do I now have to wait for rollover for them to appear on my website?

they will appear when you edit /js/noaarpts.js as stated in my reply earlier.The Dalek Hunter wrote: ↑Tue 23 Mar 2021 7:53 am I have just realised I had not turned on NOAA reports for my site.

you need to point the rptPath to where your NOAA Reports are in your webserver.
mine is like so:
Code: Select all
let rptPath = 'NOAA-reports/'; Code: Select all
let rptPath = '';- The Dalek Hunter

Re: Release 3120 - NOAA Reports
Thanks for the reply.
In the Admin Interface NOAA FTP Options section it says, regarding the upload directory
"Leaving this blank will mean the reports are placed in the location specified in the main Internet Settings FTP folder" and I have left it blank.
So should I set it to let rptPath = '/';
It also says "Enabling this means your NOAA reports will be FTP'd to the folder below after they are created during the daily rollover"
There is no sign of any NOAA reports on my website. I only enabled them this morning.

Re: Release 3120 - NOAA Reports
Personally I would create a folder for your reports to go into. otherwise your root folder will get messy. yeah midnight is when the NOAA reports will be created. if you have reports already created on your CumulusMX server then just copy them over to the website server now.The Dalek Hunter wrote: ↑Tue 23 Mar 2021 8:51 am Thanks for the reply.

Ok - copied reports from CMX server to website and let rptPath = '/noaa/'
All working apart from some characters not displaying correctly

Those characters will be because the reports were not generated using the UTF-8 option.
