I doubt any of the others are reading correctly either Daj.

A hot air gun should do the trick but don't get too close or you'll melt it.

I've given it a dusting down and all the snow has gone, however the whirly thing (aka anemometer) is stuck fast with the cold. It's been snowing most of the day again so will probably just pile up.

I will try again in the morning -- it's at the top of an 8 foot pole so not the most accessible, but better than on a house roof!

Now I know why I like living in a "snowfree" zone :-)

My two wind sensors stopped at around 10pm last night.

It appears to happen when we get a slight thaw and then the wind drops. The water drops freeze at night again jamming both sensors.

Despite about 15mph winds today they have been jammed since last night and even the little Sun we had around lunch time did not unfreeze them.

Looks like these WX stations are for 'fine weather' use only. ;)
