Adding extra sensor information to indexT.htm/index.htm

From build 3044 the development baton passed to Mark Crossley. Mark has been responsible for all the Builds since. He has made the code available on GitHub. It is Mark's hope that others will join in this development, but at the very least he welcomes your ideas for future developments (see Cumulus MX Development suggestions).

Adding extra sensor information to indexT.htm/index.htm

Post by canlab@sasktel.net »

I am currently setting up a website with an Ecowitt weather station with lightning detector. I want to add the lightning detection from the Cumulus MX extra sensors page to my indexT.htm/index.htm main page. Can someone point in the right direction? Thanks!

You'll probably need to add whatever the webtag is for ecowitt lightning to the websitedataT.json template first of all. then when websitedataT.json is processed by cumulus, make sure websitedata.json on your webserver have a lightning value. then you can add the value to your index page.

LightningDistance
LightningTime
LightningStrikesToday

If really are using the old web site with the template indexT.htm, then you just need to add the extra boiler plate and web tags for the lightning in that file.

Otherwise if you are using the new web site then you will have to add the data to websitedataT.json as a first step as above.

Hello, thanks for all the replies. Do I need to add anything for lightning in the strings.ini file?
