New Wordpress weather site

Hope this is the right spot for this. I've used Cumulus for a while now. We have previously run the site using the default software but have recently collaborated with a local software company to create a new site. It's a Wordpress site and uses a new hidden page to upload data to the site, which then uses tags to insert into the pages. It still uses the regular upload for the gauges. At this time the gauges upload every 15 seconds with the other data every 2 minutes. There are still some bugs and flaws to sort, but it should be at a point where there is more useful info than problems, so happy to share. You can check out the site here:

Any constructive feedback, suggestions or comments welcome!

Nice website.

There is a broken link on the bottom nav bar for the Gauges.

Nice site. took a while loading the first page.

Inspect console (CTRL-SHIFT-I in chrome) showed a devtool not loading, though doubt its not that.

Code: Select all

DevTools failed to load SourceMap: Could not load content for https://www.bellingenweather.org/wp-content/plugins/snapfrozen_weather/assets/css/main.css.map: HTTP error: status code 404, net::ERR_HTTP_RESPONSE_CODE_FAILURE
lighthouse also showed a very low performance score along with GTMetrix. ( the scores are the lowest I have ever seen  )

looks like you have some more work to do. Apologies for finding faults :groan:

I've used WP in the past and always used a cache plugin to help with loading times, though your webserver may need tweaked too.

Hi @BelloWeather
I am trying to incorporate the steelseries gauges in my WP site. I am not using Cumulus but a self written Go program that produces a realtime.txt file. I was directed to this post by another member who suggested you may have some advice?

Thanks,
George
