WMR88 - Battery Status

From build 3044 the development baton passed to Mark Crossley. Mark has been responsible for all the Builds since. He has made the code available on GitHub. It is Mark's hope that others will join in this development, but at the very least he welcomes your ideas for future developments (see Cumulus MX Development suggestions).

WMR88 - Battery Status

Post by chrissifer »

Hi Guys,

Long time user of Cumulus 1 (still going strong); however I thought I might as well take a look at Cumulus MX, but for the life of me I can't seem to find where to pick up the battery status of my sensors like as happens in Cumulus 1

Is it actually possible to show the individual battery sensors at all? I did see some code for a DAVIS TX sensors, but this doesn't work with my install as I have a WMR88

Cheers!

There is no battery status monitoring for WMR stations in Cumulus MX.

What I will do is add "experimental" support for the Battery Low Alarm for WMR100 & 928 stations in the next release. It will not tell which battery is low, you would have to check your console, but it should alert you to check.

I have no idea which protocol the WMR88 station uses though!
