Looks to me as though you may have set the "Remote FTP Directory" incorrectly.

You have yours set to wetter/ whereas a SFTP directory usually needs the entire string from root e.g. /home/**********/public_html/wetter or it may be /home/********/htdocs/wetter

That latest log still shows you using rename as the files have the tmp added. Did stop and restart CumulusMX after you did the change?

I tried now also the complete path, same issue
and yes I resart in the mentime cumulus after every change to ensure the setting is done

Your remote path (htdocs/wetter/websitedata.json) is still a relative one. As @water01 says, you need an absolute path for SFTP.

found the issue
the path and the access to the specfic folder was not correct, after altering the data all is working so far

Hi there

I to am having issues with the error while uploading. I am trying to use the default website on my pc as a server with the primary CMX software on a RPi. I have looked through this thread and the simple web site creation wiki but I am unable to sort the problem.
I can see that all the relevant files appear to be updating on the server side but the web page remains a pretty blue colour with no data.
I have checked with Filezilla that the connection for sftp is good and that files can transfer ok, I have checked and rechecked the extra web file transfer details.
Is there a step I have missed out?
Please can anyone help me out ?

You have configured SFTP to send the files to the folder "C:/Users/akoes/Desktop/Weather/" on your FTP server.

That does not look like a folder on your web server. You need to configure the Remote FTP Directory correctly in Internet Settings > Web/FTP Site
