Re: How often should Data be read???
It's possible you will get some interference, but that's not really my area of expertise, and is nothing to do with how your graphs look. My post at 1.05 pm explains why your graph looks like that, given that you last restarted Cumulus at 0330.

Re: How often should Data be read???
Question? is it possible I'm picking up HIS data as well as my own
Your Console should normally only pick up the strongest signal due to the 'FM capture effect' so as long as your's is the strongest signal you should have no problem.
However if his signal is strong enough to be picked up by your console then it's possible that you could capture data from it while your's was not transmitting. You should be able to check this by watching the display on the console; and if you see it change more than once in around 50 seconds then this could be happening.
Does anyone know if the transmitter leaves it's carrier on in between the periods when it sends the data; I assume this only takes a second or two?
Mike.

If they were leaving carrier on then the batteries wouldn't last long I would imagine.

That was my conclusion as well; wondered if anyone had monitored it.Super-T wrote:If they were leaving carrier on then the batteries wouldn't last long I would imagine.
