Historic Charts not showing

Hi
I've upgraded to the latest CMX 3.9.6 3101
It all seems OK - I have to go and manually edit the template files to delete the gauges as I don't use them.
The "historic" tab is a new one on me - the page loads but no charts appear . . .I've uploaded the webfiles files to my website
Is there anything else I need to do?

weather.vivatek.co.uk

Cheers
Steve

Just so you know in the future, the way to check this out is to use the developers console, by hitting F12 in your browser on the historic page in this case. Set it to track the network load and then refresh the main page with an F5.

This will show you, as it did me, that you have not moved the historic.js (javascript file) into the js folder on your website from the webfiles js folder in the release. Once you have done that the page should load correctly.

Hi,
An F12 on browser indicates that http://weather.vivatek.co.uk/js/historiccharts.js is not found.
Did you upload that as part of the update?

Enjoy,
Paul

Possibly your web server does not have access rights to that folder?

You need to check the web server error logs to see what is happening.

OK but the actual program is trying to find it at http://weather.vivatek.co.uk/js/historiccharts.js not http://weather.vivatek.co.uk/weather/js ... ccharts.js hence why it is not found.

historic.htm does not exist at http://weather.vivatek.co.uk/weather/historic.htm so you have built the site at http://weather.vivatek.co.uk not http://weather.vivatek.co.uk/weather and therefore you have put the js in the wrong place it should be at http://weather.vivatek.co.uk/js/ not http://weather.vivatek.co.uk/weather/js/.

OK, I'll have a go at changing the web template to redirect it
Strange that the trends works fine with cumuluscharts.js

Not strange you have a cumuluscharts.js installed in the correct place at http://weather.vivatek.co.uk/js/cumuluscharts.js . So somehow installing this new version you have added the extra element of the /weather directory which didn't exist before.

Hi
Getting a bit tangled up here.
I created weather as a sub domain - all pages load fine, including historic.htm. The page is generated but the graph image is blank - the script is not found...
historiccharts.js is the same place as cumuluscharts and I've gone thru the web page templates . . .both lines of code just say js/.....charts.js
Strange that the trends loads and runs but historic doesn't.
I added a weather/js/....line to historicT.htm....see if that works...

It's all a pain as I run the station on a cheap HDD tablet and to work on that I have to remove it from it's site, set up a bluetooth keyboard . . .edit files...put it back then access the website via my main laptop . . . .

I've rerun the page and it didn't like the extra line . . .
log7.JPG
So the page IS there but it's just js file . .

I'll persevere

Steve

Hi
Looking at the trends web page - this loads and runs the script:
log8.JPG
And it manages to find the script from the simple "js/cumuluscharts.js"

A puzzle and TBH, I'm not too bothered, if it can't easily solved, I'll edit the webpage out of the template, like I have to do with the gauges!

Being a sub domain - the server directs you to vivatek.co.uk/weather for all these pages, there is no "extra" weather directory.

Cheers
