No Wiki page that I know of yet.

The API details (v2 is what you want) are only required for catching up missed data, they are not needed for the live data, that comes direct from the AirLink.

All CMX needs is the IP address to get going, it will complete the hostname for you. The hostname is only used if you have more than one AirLink, you have Auto-discovery enabled and they change their IP addresses for some reason CMX can work out which is which.

Please switch on debug logging, restart CMX and then post the log file after it has run for 5 minutes.

That seems to have sorted it out. I'll scribble some notes and add a page to the wiki.

The only thing I am not keen on is that the user is forced to register with Davis Weatherlink in order to use the product. It would be easy to simply just set up the AirLink by Bluetooth to attach it to the local network by wifi and then CumulusMX could collect the data.

The AirLink and the WLL are cloud integrated. They get firmware updates from wl.com, and upload the data once a minute, buffering it when the internet link is down.

They could have offered a standalone mode, which would have found a use in locations that are not "always on", but it would require two distinct modes of operation and they chose not to do that.

Or they could have had a stand-alone mode as the default with firmware update notifications and the option to register with and use WLL perhaps?

Anyway, it is sorted now and the WLL app is quite good, thanks for your assistance.

Hi Mark
I have just bought an Airlink. I've got it to work with the Weatherlink app on my phone (although not on the computer app). I have got raw data on meteobridge (Davis kindly supplied the ip for the Airlink). Some numbers appear in the 'airlink inside' panel in MX. Now ... how do I get it to plot the values?
Is this supported in MX ?
Regards Ted

Hi,
If you have all the settings in Extra Sensors > Air Quality Settings > Davis AirLink then either Indoor or Outdoor then it should start to appear in Extra Sensors tab > Davis Airlink and also in Charts tab > Recent Charts = Air Quality i.e. http://www.komokaweather.com/cumulusmx/ ... airquality and http://www.komokaweather.com/cumulusmx/selectachart.htm

Enjoy,
Paul

Hi Paul thanks for reply. No success yet. I Get values for Indoor Airlink panel, but no graphs or option for air quality on graph. My settings are as follows: Air quality settings > Primary AQ sensor=Davis Airlink Indoor. > AQI=USA EPA
Davis Airlink > have generated and pasted API key and API secret. Otherwise blank
Indoor Airlink > IP address as provided by Davis, otherwise blank. I'm not sure about Weatherlink Station ID which has to be numeric I think.
Is there anything else?
Thanks and regards
Ted

Hi,
You mention meteobridge and I am not familiar with that or how it works.
Also not sure about Davis telling you your IP address for the AirLink. That would be a local IP address that is assigned by your router. As the CMX instructions mention you can leave it blank and let CMX discover it.

Is there anything on startup in your MXdiags on the Airlink?

Enjoy,
Paul

As far as I recall.
On the Davis Heath Page on WLL it now shows the local IP address that is in use for the Airlink (and now also the WLL)

Hi,
I have set up an AirLink sensor to collect data through cumulus; however I can't read data from the MXdiags. And the page show: Missing AirLink WeatherLink API key/secret in the cumulus.ini file. I would like to ask if the key/secret will be generated automatically? If there is no AirLink WeatherLink API key/secret generated, what can I do to solve this problem?

I try to type some words in WeatherLin API key and secret in Davis airlink, it is still not work, and show words in cumulus: "missing airlink weatherlink api station ID in the cumulus ini. file" , but actually, there is "In-WLStationId=2" in cumulus ini.file.

I don't know what's wrong, anyone can help? many thanks.
