lost data

From build 3044 the development baton passed to Mark Crossley. Mark has been responsible for all the Builds since. He has made the code available on GitHub. It is Mark's hope that others will join in this development, but at the very least he welcomes your ideas for future developments (see Cumulus MX Development suggestions).

lost data

Post by kd7eir »

Overnight the low temperature got down to 33.6°F at 7:13 AM 11/10/2020 as recorded by Ecowitt and stand-alone thermometer. CumulusMX 3.9.1 b3096 says the low was 45°F at 20:26 11/09/2020.

All other places that I upload data to agree with the Ecowitt readings, only CumulusMX is wrong.

CumulusMX is showing the correct temperature right now, but it seems to have lost all the overnight data. Any ideas what would cause this?

Please zip up your MXdiags file that covers the event and attach it here.

Looks like something weird happened here - a long (12 hour plus) pause when you station started up:

Code: Select all

2020-11-09 20:17:26.420 Tomorrow sunrise: 06:48:19
2020-11-09 20:17:26.420 Tomorrow sunset : 17:25:46
2020-11-10 08:21:45.301 Station type: GW1000
2020-11-10 08:21:45.303 WindUnit=mph RainUnit=in TempUnit=°F PressureUnit=in
Lots of MySQL errors when it finally got going. But your problem was the big pause. Does your weather station have an archive facility? If it has, you could copy over backup data files from before 20:17 on 9th November (with MX switched off) and then restart MX to pick up the archive data.

If you stop MX, copy the contents of an appropriate backup directory to your data directory and then restart MX it should pull the data from your station and process it.
