Cumulus MX not loading?

From build 3044 the development baton passed to Mark Crossley. Mark has been responsible for all the Builds since. He has made the code available on GitHub. It is Mark's hope that others will join in this development, but at the very least he welcomes your ideas for future developments (see Cumulus MX Development suggestions).

Cumulus MX not loading?

Hi Guys
I hope I'm in the right place for this if not sorry and could someone point me in the right direction.
I have been using Cumulus since 2012 and have no probs but just a while back I uploaded the new release it went well but had an update on my PC so went to start it up again and it wouldn't connect, well it would go as far as 'Last update+2020-10-02T15:30:00' whatever that means.
It then instructed me to zip the file MXdiags (that's downloaded here.) to the Cumulus forum
Thanks for reading and hopefully someone can help.
Using the 'other software' now but don't like it much. 😉

From your diags file:

Code: Select all

Error opening port - The port 'COM8' does not exist
Therefore you have MX configured to access your station on port COM8, but your weather station isn't connected on that COM port. If you use the control panel to find out what port your station is actually connected to, then change your MX configuration to use this port in the settings screen, you should find MX will then connect to your station.
