Then we resart Cumulus and ........ The data logger screws it all up again
Any chance of a "Confirm Data Logger Read" on Cumulus re-start ?
I think most people wouldn't like having to confirm on every start up? I suppose it could be another option...beteljuice wrote:What I suggest if the option IS ticked, then on any Cumulus restart there is a 'confirmation splash'.
Seems much better than imposing a mandatory confirmation box every start up!steve wrote: The way I've always envisaged this working is as in the help file; edit the cumulus.ini file to set UseDataLogger=0 before starting up (and remembering to set the option again once started).
Yip, gets my vote.steve wrote:The way I've always envisaged this working is as in the help file; edit the cumulus.ini file to set UseDataLogger=0 before starting up (and remembering to set the option again once started).
I'm happy to do this, but I know from experience that I would have to make it a separate option.beteljuice wrote:Perhaps a 'data load abort splash' with a 3sec default continue ??? (But only if you have the data-logger set in your options)
The joys of software development; everyone wants something different. I think I'm going with the Ricky Nelson approach in future...Anyways, I didn't expect so much opposition
That one is lost on me!steve wrote:I think I'm going with the Ricky Nelson approach in future...
