Moved over to CumulusMX

From build 3044 the development baton passed to Mark Crossley. Mark has been responsible for all the Builds since. He has made the code available on GitHub. It is Mark's hope that others will join in this development, but at the very least he welcomes your ideas for future developments (see Cumulus MX Development suggestions).

Moved over to CumulusMX

Post by The PIT »

After a long a period away from mx I since cumulus1 did all I needed it to do I decided to move over the latest cumulusmx.
Apart from a few gotcha's like ports being renamed and missing database files. There was a odd ftp issue where it wasn't uploading even though the ftplog said it was. I checked the server end and there wasn't a connection. Restarting it fixed that.
I'm still using the old templates as I modified them.
Anyway I look at the new templates before modifying them. So I copied trendsT.htm from the mxfolder and renamed it to trendsaT.htm told it to process it in real time and use UTF8
So the path is C:\Program Files (x86)\CumulusMX\web\trendsaT.htm and the remote filename /trendsa.htm
The end result in mxdiags is illegal character in the path.
Eh?
If I do the same for a old template
C:\Program Files (x86)\CumulusMX\web\live_weather-ipadT.htm remote filename /live_weather_ipad.htm it process's it quite happily.

And I found the issue copying and pasting put the a tab in the path grrrrr.

Have you checked all the webtags where they changed from Cumulus 1 to CumulusMx (see My Revised Table of Time and Date Output Modifiers in https://cumuluswiki.org/a/Webtags#Outpu ... parameters ). And the Trends page in CumulusMX uses uploaded json files so have you ticked the "include graph data files".

I've just checked the templates I'm using and as far as I can see none of the changed tags have been used.
