Moving Cumulus to another folder

I realised recently that Cumulus installed itself to Program Files (x86) when I first installed it, and there it has stayed since.
I've not had any problems with it (apart from occasional corruptrion of extracted data, probably due to noted problems using serial-USB with a La Crosse station (possibly fixed now as I've added a serial-PCI card to give me a real spare serial port, all working perfectly so far!).
However, mindful of the fact that it is recommended to install Cumulus directly the root directory on the C drive, I want to move it to there, not in Program Files.
Could you confirm, that if I install the Cumulus application to the root drive on C, what I would then need to do in order to carry over all the data and settings? Presumably, once installed on the C drive, I could copy over the entire Cumulus folder as currently residing in c:/Program Files (x86) and overwriting the newly installed program folder in the C root directory ?
