Historical data migration from Windows to Pi

From build 3044 the development baton passed to Mark Crossley. Mark has been responsible for all the Builds since. He has made the code available on GitHub. It is Mark's hope that others will join in this development, but at the very least he welcomes your ideas for future developments (see Cumulus MX Development suggestions).

Historical data migration from Windows to Pi

Post by bookeyuk »

Hello,

I have an existing (working!) installation on a Windows mini PC, I would like to move the historical data to a new installation on my Rasp Pi.
The Pi installation is working fine but only logging new data from the weather station.

I have copied the ini files, but I cant see a cumlumsmx.db file on my Windows installation but this does exist on the Pi install.

Thanks

If you copied over all the /data fiels and Cumulus.ini. AND your rPi uses the same locale as Windows, then it should work as before with all your history.

cumlumsmx.db is created by MX if it isn't present, it is used to store the weather diary information.
