Moving CumulsMX to new hardware.

From build 3044 the development baton passed to Mark Crossley. Mark has been responsible for all the Builds since. He has made the code available on GitHub. It is Mark's hope that others will join in this development, but at the very least he welcomes your ideas for future developments (see Cumulus MX Development suggestions).

Moving CumulsMX to new hardware.

Post by ConligWX »

Hi guys,

I am shortly moving CumulusMX to new hardware, so I was contemplating a fresh install of CumulusMX since 3.7.0 has been released.

If I go down this route, apart from a mysqldump of the database, what files would I need to transfer across to the fresh install to keep all the old data/settings etc, and will the new CumulusMX create any new .ini entries on startup or should these be added manually?

Thanks for any feedback.

Easiest way is to take the entire Data and Backup directories or copy the entire installation directory and overwrite it with 3.7.0 install.

ok thanks, I wasnt sure if a full overwrite would cause any issues.
