Resize Flash Gauges
Resize Flash Gauges
I want to resize the two gauges for wind and direction made in Flash. I think they are a little too big. Which parameters in the HTML file makes my day?

Re: Resize Flash Gauges
I'm not sure you can. In theory setting the "scale" parameter to "exactfit" and changing the width and height to use percentages ought to do it, but it doesn't seem to.

Code: Select all
<!-- This is the real time wind display. If you don't want to use it, delete everything between this comment and the next one. -->
<div align="center">
<object classid="clsid:D27CDB6E-AE6D-11cf-96B8-444553540000"
id="CumulusRealtime" width="600" height="300"
codebase="http://fpdownload.macromedia.com/get/flashplayer/current/swflash.cab">
<param name="movie" value="CumulusRealtime.swf" />
<param name="quality" value="high" />
<param name="wmode" value="transparent" />
<param name='flashVars' value='interval=<#realtimeinterval>'/>
<param name="allowScriptAccess" value="sameDomain" />
<embed src="CumulusRealtime.swf" quality="high" wmode="transparent"
width="600" height="300" name="CumulusRealtime" align="middle"
play="true"
loop="false"
quality="high"
allowScriptAccess="sameDomain"
flashVars='interval=<#realtimeinterval>'
type="application/x-shockwave-flash"
pluginspage="http://www.adobe.com/go/getflashplayer">
</embed>
</object>
</div>
<!-- end of real time display -->
id="CumulusRealtime" width="600" height="300"
The second is lower down in the <embed ....... construct.

Indeed. Are you saying you got it work? I changed both and it didn't for me.beteljuice wrote:There are TWO references to the width and height paramaters, the first is obvious and at the start of the code:

Re: Resize Flash Gauges
Very curious - although it's a long while since I messed with 'Flash'.
I can change the width to 300px, but it then creates it's own scroll bars
I didn't even know it could do that, unless it's been 'scripted' into the movie itself somehow ?

Re: Resize Flash Gauges
I´ve tried all code I found at Adobes site including Scale etc. Nothing seems to work. Who have done the Flash File from the start anyway? That person may have some solution? I personally think the gauges are too big to fit slim into any web page.

Re: Resize Flash Gauges
I'm afraid I can't remember much about the application, it's a long time since I looked at it. It's my intention to release the source code when I get chance, as I don't intend doing any more with it myself. I'm a Microsoft Fanboy now

Re: Resize Flash Gauges
It would be nice to get my hands on the original Flash file. BUT the only thing I want to do is to resize it. In my simple world there should be a simple HTML code for the thing but...
