Hi,
My good lady have bought me a Froggit GW1000 with soil and lightning sensor for my birthday and retirement. I will also have an wind/outsidetemp. and a rain sensor. Now the question: can i run the sensors on cumulusmx and a linuxsystem.
Many thanks;
Gr. Engelbert

Yes, just select Ecowitt GW1000 for station type. It will auto-detect your DP1500 if you enable auto-discovery. But I still recommend you create an IP address reservation on your network's DHCP server (likely on your router). This way your DP1500 will always be there at that same IP address. If you have more than one GW1000 / DP15000 then I suggest you turn auto-discovery off.
I also recommend you go to Cumulus MX settings / Options / Calculate Dew Point and enable that as the GW1000 / DP1500 does not provide dew point in the data API.

As others have noted, GW1000 is an Ecowitt device number. It's identical to the Froggit DP1500 (except that DP1500 only comes in one frequency, GW1000 in 3 different frequencies and you need to make sure your whole system uses the same one)
