Hi all,

I recently updated to 3088 and sometime after I restarted it an error has occured, the Cumulus window asked me to zip the MXdiags folder and post here. I could not close the window by pressing the error key as it said, couldn't close it through Windows task manager so had to force a restart of the computer. Doesn't seem to be updaing my webpages any more either.

Help please.

It would appear that 2 things have happened.

Firstly, your dayfile.txt has an error in it at line 107.
2020-07-16 00:07:45.876 GetRainfallTotals: Error on line 107 of dayfile.txt: Input string was not in a correct format.
You need to edit this file with a good text editor (NOT notepad) and correct that line before you reload MX.

And secondly data from your weather station is not being received by MX.
2020-07-16 12:16:00.120 *** Data input appears to have stopped
2020-07-16 12:17:00.120 *** Data input appears to have stopped
2020-07-16 12:18:00.120 *** Data input appears to have stopped
2020-07-16 12:19:00.120 *** Data input appears to have stopped
2020-07-16 12:20:00.120 *** Data input appears to have stopped
2020-07-16 12:21:00.167 *** Data input appears to have stopped
2020-07-16 12:22:00.344 *** Data input appears to have stopped
This can be anything from batteries in the transmitter / weather station to the physical connection between the weather station and MX. You need to find out which and fix it.

I am not sure what you mean by the error key as MX in a Windows environment is always best stopped by a Ctrl+C. It may take multiple goes but that is the way to stop it.

Looks like the date format changed here from dashes to slashes: How should I fix it?

I edited out the dashes and replaced with slashes, on restart my Internet Security program asked about CumulusMX wanting to use port 53 and recommended blocking it. Is it OK to allow that?

Are the monthly and yearly rain totals supposed to always reset to zero when I update the version of MX?

No.
You use your existing Cumulus.ini, and \data and \Reports folders when updating so that the new version will continue on from previous.

Enjoy,
Paul

This is what has thrown me, I don't do anything with them and they're still in the same folder structure so not sure why it resets. Am I missing a crucial step when I overwrite only the changed files to update MX?
