Cumulus Support

Having played around with the boost pack on the Cumulus interface I think I can speed this up dramatically.

The updated files for \interface are in the attached zip if you would like to try them...

I copied the files to the local /interface and I/interface/js directories, to help me understand, can you explain how these local files influence the files that get executed remotely? The remote trends.html file does not appear to have changed, but the Wind Dir trend call up/rescale is definitely faster

Here are the updated files for the web site trends page. Please try them out and see if they work for you.

trendsT.htm into your Cumulus \web folder
cumuluscharts.js into your web server \js folder

The HTML file changes make the pages load the HighCharts "boost" package, and the script changes enable some boost features for the wind direction charts.

thanks a lot for that, but can you help clear up some ignorance here please . . . .

I downloaded your first file, charts.zip, and put the files in the local /interface & /interface/js directories, then reloaded Cumulus

The website WIndDir charts were much faster, but I could not see how this could be having just changed local files.

Your upload of trends.zip and the requirement to change the trends template and remote charts js file makes sense to me, but I don't understand how the first upload could help remote chart speed? Was it just a coincidence that things got faster after the local trends change?

OK, a penny has dropped -
charts.html is for the local interface
trends.html is for the remote website

The increase in speed that I thought I saw on the website after changing charts.html can only have been a coincidence
