The steel series gauges on my website www.corfemullenweather.co.uk are not displaying correctly and not being very techy minded unsure whether it is a missing or corrupt file that is causing the problem.
I have tried without success to solve the problem maybe someone can give me some suggestions
Thanks

Mike

It is not finding the "realtimegauges.txt" file on your web site - do you have the option to upload it enabled?

Thanks for your reply Mark. if this is what you mean
The realtimegauges.txt file is loaded onto my webserver if thats what you mean and in Cumulus internet settings remote file name entered is public_html/realtimegauges.txt
Sorry to appear so thick but as an 82 year old I am really struggling with this. Maybe I should stick to dominoes!

The realtimegausges.txt does not exist on your webserver http://www.corfemullenweather.co.uk/realtimegauges.txt
but realtimegaugesT.txt does and this is not processed http://www.corfemullenweather.co.uk/realtimegaugesT.txt
Likely a little error in the Cumulus/Configuration/Internet/Files extra web file settings.

Enjoy,
Paul

Looks like you've made a change and removed realtimegaugesT.txt and that is good, but http://www.corfemullenweather.co.uk/realtimegauges.txt is still a file with webtags only and not processed yet by Cumulus.

In your Internet - Files settings make sure you have the correct path\realtimegaugesT.txt in the Local filename column i.e. C:\Cumulus\web\realtimegaugesT.txt and the Remote filename as public_html/realtimegauges.txt and tick Process, Realtime, FTP and UTF-8 boxes.

Enjoy,
Paul

I just noticed this message is in the Cumulus 1 section. Are you using Cumulus 1 or MX?

Your settings are not as Paul instructed. If you post an image of your Internet File Settings, I can annotate that image. But maybe my words will help you more, although I am only repeating what Paul as already said.

Your http://www.corfemullenweather.co.uk/realtimegauges.txt file is a script template file, it matches what you probably have on your Windows computer as realtimegaugesT.txt

That realtimegaugesT.txt should be (as Paul says) only your local file (as Paul says browse to find it for the local file item) in your Internet File Settings.

Next, it needs to be processed (tick in process column as Paul said) this is what you have not done

then that processed valid javascript file with real values in it is ready to be uploaded (tick FTP, which you probably have done)

to replace your current file (your remote file setting must be right).

Otherwise, attach to here your Cumulus.ini file AFTER WIPING OUT ANY PASSWORDS

Thanks sfws for your help.
I have double checked the internet configuration file entries which are now exactly as Paul and you indicate with all boxes ticked (process, realtime, FTP. UTF-8) but it appears that the uploaded file is corrupted in some way so I'm still stuck for a solution.

It is corrupted because it has not been processed by Cumulus as has been stated before. Nor has your gauges-ss.htm file been processed either as it still has webtags in it.

Could you post a picture of your extra files upload page so we can see what has been set?
