I am getting an error message as follows:
5/5/2020 : Duplicate entry at line 248 of dayfile.txt: 03/05/20. Please correct this by editing the file

I see nothing wrong here. The line above it and below it are different. So why am I getting this error? :?:

If the lines are on the same date then there is an error because that is not allowed.

Could you post the dayfile?

The error means something is duplicated, it is normally the date, but maybe in your case could be a field is duplicated. There are a few causes. For more information see https://cumuluswiki.org/a/FAQ#Error_mes ... line....22

Paste lines 245 to 250 here, and we will see if our keen eyes spot what you've missed.

EDIT: Hans has beaten me, I won't delete my post as it contain reference to FAQ and I believe it is easier with just a few lines than whole file.

Just as I started copying the lines 245 thru 250, I first realized there was no line 250. But at the same time the date in line 245 is 03/05/20 and then they progressed from there as follows:
Line 245 03/05/20
Line 246 01/05/20
Line 247 02/05/20
Line 248 03/05/20
Line 249 04/05/20

The data in these lines is nowhere similar to each other. The clue that the Line 245 gives the max temp as 58.3 and the Line 248 gives it as 70.5. I know might seem weird but the high temp 15:10 was about that and right after that time came a "Pneumonia Front" which dropped the temperature about 25 degrees in approximately 15 minutes. We were sitting out on the deck enjoying ourselves when that happened and the Milwaukee stations confirmed that event. This almost looks like the before and after for that frontal passage. Well, I'll delete line 245 and then everything should be okay again.
