New Station needed.

From build 3044 the development baton passed to Mark Crossley. Mark has been responsible for all the Builds since. He has made the code available on GitHub. It is Mark's hope that others will join in this development, but at the very least he welcomes your ideas for future developments (see Cumulus MX Development suggestions).

New Station needed.

Post by m3lox »

:groan: Well, after nine long years of service my Fineoffset has finally given in.
I'm looking for a new station to work with MX and found this.

https://www.amazon.co.uk/Crosse-Technol ... cx_mr_hp_d

Does anyone know if this is compatable please?

These are the weather stations supported https://cumuluswiki.org/a/Supported_Devices and as far as I can see it is NOT supported.

Hi David,
I just checked that Wiki that you linked on supported devices and wonder if the Ecowitt stations section should be expanded a bit (don't know how that is done  )

GW1000 WiFi gateway is correctly listed as supported.

The GW1000 is an Ecowitt device, but not a weather station, that can receive from Ecowitt station and extra sensors (must be matching MHz). The device is connected to a computer USB only for power source and is wireless for receiving station and extra sensor data and then WiFI to send to Ecowitt site. Cumulus can access the data through its TCP/IP settings. The GW1000 is not a datalogger so there is no catch up at a Cumulus or computer restart.

While the GW1000 is not a weather station as such, it does have built-in inside temp and humidity and pressure sensors

Possibly Wiki could say "All stations used in conjunction with GW1000 WiFi gateway"

Thanks for the reply.
Still looking as most of the ones I've typed in are discontinued now.
I'll keep looking.
