Errors on CumulusMX startup

From build 3044 the development baton passed to Mark Crossley. Mark has been responsible for all the Builds since. He has made the code available on GitHub. It is Mark's hope that others will join in this development, but at the very least he welcomes your ideas for future developments (see Cumulus MX Development suggestions).

Looking at the thread so far, it appears that MX is starting up correctly on your Pi. You are able to connect from your Windows 10 computer to your Pi using SSH and (S)FTP. You are unable to connect from your Windows 10 computer to MX on your Pi using HTTP.

Some questions:
  • Is your PuTTY window still open when you try to connect to MX? If you close the PuTTY window then MX will shut down - unless you use the Linux screen utility or a start-up script so that the program can continue to run after you close your PuTTY window.
  • Do you have a screenshot of your browser window when you attempt to connect to MX?
  • What does the developer console window in your browser show when you are attempting to connect to MX?

Post exactly what you are putting in your browser URL. If you are putting in an incorrect IP address, destination host unreachable is exactly what you would get.

In order to help we need more information, and you do I hope realise that CumulusMX's interface is viewed via a browser and NO other way.
