Dear All, thought I would take the opportunity to highlight that thanks to the latest work of Mark we now can add all the current crop of WiFi stations (and some of the old like the Maplin N23) to those that are now supported by CumulusMX and its latest release (b3056)
In order for you to be able to read the data from your Fine Offset station (Misol/Aercus/Ambient/Ecowitt/Froggit) etc you will need a matchbox sized USB powered gadget called a GW-1000 which is around $50USD. You will need to ensure that you purchase one that matches the frequency of your sensors (ie 433/868 or 915Mhz). This little gem reads the data packets from any of the sensors and sensor arrays that you may have and allows it to be uploaded to the Internet (independent of your console display) and read from software such as CumulusMX. You can also read the live data from a Phone app (WS-View).
The major bonus of this gadget is that it means you can add the myriad of additional sensors that Fine Offset/Ecowitt have to your primary sensor array which will be read by the GW-1000 and now logged/displayed by Cumulus MX. These are for instance, additional internal Temp/Hygro sensors, Soil Moisture sensors, PM2.5 Air quality sensors and to come soon a Lightning detector. There are all sorts of innovations underway and these can be added/read by the GW-1000.
The GW-1000 is available from Amazon in some markets (Ecowitt) or via Froggit in Europe (868Mhz) or you can purchase directly from Ecowitt (www.ecowitt.com) who can provide all frequency variants on request. You may need to contact Lucy at Ecowitt (support@ecowitt.com) in order to get a quote for shipping to your personal location.

How do you configure this device with your wifi settings?

Re: Fine Offset WiFi Stations (GW-1000)
IIRC when you first plug it in, it runs its own wifi service that you need to connect to using your phone. Once you've connected to the device you can enter your network's SSID and password in order for the device to connect to your Wifi. Reboot the device and it should connect to your wifi.richard_newberry wrote: ↑Thu 12 May 2022 1:49 pm How do you configure this device with your wifi settings?

Yes. Or just enter its IP address in your browser and you can get at the settings that way - at least, the GW-1100 does.

Re: Fine Offset WiFi Stations (GW-1000)
It's not that simple, even with a G1100 - and it depends on the model you have: GW1000, GW1100 or GW2000.
With a GW2000 and its LAN (Ethernet) interface it's utterly simple.
Best is to read and follow the instructions here:
https://www.wxforum.net/index.php?topic=41575.0
it covers also all sort of potential obstacles you may meet.
