Cumulus Support

Looking at my web server logs this morning I noticed a some 404 responses associated with the uploaded cumulus files, I have checked the "web" and "webfiles" folders from the cumulus install to see if I had missed something but it does not appear I have.

Weather/dbimages/Falling%20slowly.gif HTTP/1.1 with response code(s) 404 1 responses
Weather/dbimages/Rising%20slowly.gif HTTP/1.1 with response code(s) 404 3 responses
Weather/info.gif HTTP/1.1 with response code(s) 404 2 responses

Note "Weather" is my route folder for the cumulus web files.

Ah, yes - thanks.

These are the little 'arrow' indicators on the javascript "outside temperature" and "barometer" gauges (on the gauges.htm page). It's because when the code was written (it's not mine), it expected trends of only "Rising", "Falling", and "Steady", and uses these strings to determine which "arrow" image to display. But for pressure, Cumulus has some other values too, like the ones you've seen. It also means that anyone who has customised their trend strings won't get the arrows at all.

The simple solution would be for you to create copies of "Rising.gif" called: "Rising very rapidly.gif", "Rising quickly.gif", and "Rising slowly.gif", and corresponding ones for "Falling.gif".

I think a proper fix may be for me to create new web tags with just the three expected strings which are just used to determine the image that is displayed.

Many thanks, that appears to be working (pressure is currently "Rising slowly" so I could see the change immediately). What about the "info.gif", which I have found in line 30 of "boxover.js" ?

I don't know if that's actually used anywhere (I don't really understand how much of this stuff works). If you want a copy, it looks like this is it:

You could put that in the expected place and see if it appears anywhere.
