Time is 5 hours ahead on records

From build 3044 the development baton passed to Mark Crossley. Mark has been responsible for all the Builds since. He has made the code available on GitHub. It is Mark's hope that others will join in this development, but at the very least he welcomes your ideas for future developments (see Cumulus MX Development suggestions).

Time is 5 hours ahead on records

Post by Drew »

I am a long time Cumulus user, but just installed MX yesterday. Everything is fine except the time is off on the records. For example, current time is 9:48am central time. As the solar radiation increases and the new high for the day is recorded, the time is listed as 14:48. I can’t find any time zone settings in the program. The current time reads correct on the dashboard, and the web. I’m sure I’m overlooking something simple, but I can’t find it.

Running 3053 with a Weatherlink Live.

Hmm, correct there are no time zone settings in the program, for the WLL it may be (I can check later) taking the time from the WLL device itself, so can you check the time setting on there please...

I went into my Weatherlink Live settings within the Weatherlink app, but did not see any time settings in there. It looks like it’s using UTC time on the records. I was thinking the same thing about it pulling from the WLL. Thank you!

I've had a look at the code, and yes it is using the time from the WLL, I will have to change that to use the local server time. Expect a new release of CMX this weekend to fix this....
