Hello.
Some times Cumulus stops to update the information to the web. I have to quit and start Cumulus again.
When I quit I get the following error:
callstack crc : $1f5f35e7, $eca66ca1, $866b520e
exception number : 1
exception class : EAccessViolation
exception message : Access violation at address 00404AB0 in module 'cumulus.exe'. Read of address A000674F.
I had that problem when I run Windows Vista 32-bit and I have the same problem now with Windows 7 32-bit.
Any know soloutin to this issue?

Re: Access violation
Cumulus does sometime cause an error report on close down, but I don't seem to be able to do anything about it. It doesn't seem to cause any problems. The complete bugreport.txt file might help.
As to why it stops updating the web... does the error light flash? You could try turning on the ftp log and the debug log, and letting me have the ftplog.txt and debug.log files.

Re: Access violation
Hello.
I have enclosed the latest bugreport.txt which I have saved regarding the mentioned problem.
Cumulus runs updates to FTP without any problems. No flashing error light and I also can see at the web page that the publishing time gets changed. But I noticed last time I got problems that it stopped to publish updated resultets. It published the same temperature, wind and other values time after time. I thought it could not be correct values, and after quiting and starting the program I got a graphical jump in the published graphs which told me that it had missed several changes the last hours before the reset.

Re: Access violation
I'm confused now as to what you're saying the problem is. You're now saying that it is upating your web site correctly, because the 'updated' time is changing? But it's sending the same values each time? So, presumably, the Cumulus display is also not changing? If so, it sounds like it has lost communication with the station. Are you using a serial to USB adapter?

You have understood it correctly. Everything seemed ok, but I noticed that the temperature and wind had not changed for a long time. I found this a little bit strange, and closed Cumulus and got the mentioned error message. After starting the program again it began to work as expected. I think I have had this problem 2 or 3 times so far.
I have given up the USB adapter connection. Now I use serial connection directly to my computer.
I shall test a little bit more. If I get the same problem again I shall try to take some screen shots etc. to make it easier to find the cause to the problems.
Thanks so far!

Re: Access violation
If you zip up the diags files and attach them, there might be something useful in there. And turning onn the debug log might help for when it happens again.
I'm looking into a fix for the crash on close down. It's not in my code, so I don't know whether there is anything I can do. I don't think it's related to your original problem.
Thanks,

Thanks,
I have attached the files you mentioned and some other data files from Cumulus.
I shall also turn on the debug log.

Re: Access violation
Hello.
Tonight I got the problem yet another time. Take a look at the enclosed file dump. As you can see the information is not updated between 04.00 and 06.30. After quiting Cumulus and starting it again it started to work OK.
The display at the LaCrosse weather station was updated. The readings in the display was not the same as them in Cumulus.
This time I did not get any access violation error when I quit Cumulus. Cumulus did not display any error light.
I had forgot to activate debug logging. Sorry for that!

Re: Access violation
Yes, this seems to confirm that Cumulus has lost contact with the station (or every reading gives an error). In that situation it just continues to log the most recent data.
