What is the Cumulus communities opinion on good refresh intervals for the PWS and Weather Underground services?
Thanks.

I update every 30 minutes
From PWS...
How often should I post to the PWSweather servers? Typically official National Weather Service (NWS) stations update every half-hour or every hour. While the software can upload more often and our servers will allow updates as often as your software will allow, a half-hour upload schedule is suitable.

Thanks David.
Saw that in their FAQ and it left me confused... should it be 30 or 60 mins or more frequently. I did adjust it out to 60 mins but thought I'd ask the community here for their recommendation.

Just to muddy the waters still further: WU have the 'rapid fire' option where you can upload every few seconds.

I'm using the Rapid Fire option and 10 mins with Weather Underground. Changed to using 30 mins with PWS.
It might be useful for someone to write up an idiots guide to using Cumulus where such settings are considered and recommendations made! Someone is going to point to an existing URL... aren't they?

Is anything needed beyond what's in the help? Perhaps just a recommendation as to what interval to use? I see that in their "detailed instructions" sections on various bits of software, they say "We recommend 5 minutes or 15 minutes". I could add that to the help. Their "detailed instructions" sections aren't very advanced; they seem to be directed at someone who has never used a computer before; it's basically "fill in the fields and click OK"
