Cumulus1 how to enter data

Topics about the Beta trials up to Build 3043, the last build by Cumulus's founder Steve Loft. It was by this time way out of Beta but Steve wanted to keep it that way until he made a decision on his and Cumulus's future.

Have you supplied the FULL correct serial device name? Have you looked at the FAQ as I suggested, where you would see the following?

"Serial device names on Linux are not COM0 etc as in Windows. You need to specify something like /dev/ttyUSB0 - do a dmesg at a command line prompt and look for the actual device name from your adapter. If dmesg says your cp210x converter (as on Davis stations) is attached to ttyUSB0, for example, you need to put /dev/ttyUSB0 for the serial port name in MX. "

I posted this earlier:

I have put USB0 as the Davies connection serial port name, but still no data. When I run the CumulusMX program it says :
Unable to connect to station Cumulus running at: http://*:8998/

Also as you suggested, I have now got /dev/ttyUSB0 and it is now connected.

Actually you are the first person to tell me that.
Thanks
