Ello,
I am using the Latest Beta Build of Cumulus V1, Installed last night around 11pm. After installing it, I ran it and It appeared to be working fine, so I locked the server and left it for the night.
I have noticed however this morning, that 23.6mm of Rainfall has appeared in the 'Rain Today' Box on the Cumulus Dashboard and has also appeared on the Trend Page Graphs. Their is however no Rainfall Rate recorded and No rainfall shown on the Station Dashboard Console.
All previous Beta Builds have worked fine for me with No real issues to report. I can provide any files required to help solve the mystery.
Jason

Re: Mystery Rainfall Appearing........
If you attach the nov09log.txt file, that will show the progression of the rain counter in the station.
Thanks.
Thanks.

Re: Mystery Rainfall Appearing........
That is indeed mysterious. At 01:58, 23.6 mm of rain appeared, yet the counter stayed at 56.1.
17/11/09,01:57,9.2,88,7.3,11.0,13.3,183,0.0,0.0,1005.8,56.1,23.0,64,11.2,6.6,9.2
17/11/09,01:58,9.2,88,7.3,10.8,13.3,187,0.0,23.6,1005.9,56.1,23.0,64,8.2,6.6,9.2
I think perhaps the counter went down temporarily, which caused Cumulus to reset the start of day figure (as it thought the counter had been reset). Unfortunately, it only logs this fact if debug log is switched. I've just changed the code so it logs to the diags log instead.
Could you attach your today.ini file, please?

Oh Damn, I now remember, Last night just before I went to Bed, I did clear the stations memory as it was filling up. I would have been around the time the Rain Counter Reset. I feel quite stupid nowsteve wrote:That is indeed mysterious. At 01:58, 23.6 mm of rain appeared, yet the counter stayed at 56.1.

No problem.
Your start of day figure in today.ini is now showing as:
Start=37.2000007629395
But your current counter is 56.1. So to remedy the situation, you should be able to stop Cumulus, edit that figure to be
Start=56.1
and edit all of those 23.6 values out of today's entries in nov09log.txt, start Cumulus and all should be OK.

Hi
It's a bit late now (and it has been said before) but opening the month file in excel is much quicker.
Just check that the date format is correct as it may change to dd/mm/yyyy - save as a CSV file and rename to txt file.
Regards
Alan
