Is there a way to disable the wind gust ?!

Please, don't give up and tell me what to do !
I didn't imagine that this LCMaxWind... is not working with my actual version of Cumulus.
I read on the forum that someone downloaded the latest version and saved initially his history data base. If I save my history data base from the actual version 1.8.7 do I have to copy it in the newest version ?! I'm sorry I ask so many questions that might seem for you as clear as the light of the day. I must admit that I know only a few basics about computers and there are a lot of things that I don't know about and whenever there is a problem I ask someone who knows what to do. If I wouldn't have any problems or things that I don't know why they act the way they do I probably wouldn't have written anything on this forum.

There's a thread in the "Announcements and News" section of the forum where I announce new builds, and what is new in each one.

You can install this version over the top of 1.8.7. It's probably a good idea to take a backup of your data folder before installing. And your 'web' folder, if you've edited any of the supplied web page templates.

So far so good, I replaced the older version with the new one, at least I hope so and nothing has changed, everything is just like before, all the data in the same place.
I downloaded and installed the new version and restarted the computer.
Now, there is one question, where do I have to look to see if this version is 1.8.8 ?
I've looked everywhere but I didn't see any figures to indicate me that this version is 1.8.8.
And please, don't laugh, I know it might seem foolish what I ask.

It's definitely the new version, with a modified select-a-graph area, different in comparison with the older version.
