I seem to be getting nowhere trying to install CumulusMX on my MacBook Pro running Sierra 10.12.2
I have a Aercus WS3083
Probably the main reason is I do not have a great deal of experience with terminal (almost none in fact)
This is the message I get in Terminal
sudo mono CumulusMX.exe -lang en-GB
Current culture: English (United Kingdom)
Serial: FF94DE6B9A8FBB61B98885B25082A52E
Cumulus MX v.3.0.0 build 3042

Re: Mac OS Sierra Installation problems
Looks like Mono is not fully installed, or perhaps the version s not compatible - they may have changed things in Sierra, and I am unable to test on that so can't be much help. What version of Mono do you have installed, and have you installed the mono-complete package, and libudev0?

Re: Mac OS Sierra Installation problems
I'm not sure that corresponds to the Linux 'mono-complete' package, so may have things missing that MX needs. But whether it's the full thing or not, it appears to be version 4.6, which as mentioned in the MX FAQ won't recognise Fine Offset stations.

Re: Mac OS Sierra Installation problems
Thanks Steve
I checked and that appears to be the only version available for the Mac OS
Looking around I found a few alternatives and WeatherCat seems to work fine
Thanks again

Re: Mac OS Sierra Installation problems
I found a set of downloads going back to very early versions of Mono. But perhaps they don't work with Sierra - that wouldn't surprise me. But the important thing is that you've found some software you're happy with, and I believe WeatherCat is a proper native Mac application, so you're probably better off with that.
