Which Folders to import into CumulusMX ?

When I look t the /localhost:8998 page I notice I have no data from last year. Rain from yesterday is also not displayed.

Also, where would I enter today's snowfall ? So I wondered if I am supposed to copy some folders from old Cumulus folder. I tried moving Data over and restarted CumulusMX but saw no change.

otherwise the new installation of MX is working fine on my Quad I5 Win7Pro/64

I don't believe the Weather Diary where you would enter the snowfall is implemented in Cumulus MX as yet.
Sorry I am unable to give any help on your system not working.

MX is reporting that the connection to the station has been disconnected by something other than MX itself. Didn't you report this problem in a previous thread, to which I gave the same answer, or am I thinking of someone else?

I did indeed. And you did indeed.

However, and I haven't researched "what" ur reply was, I believe you told me this problem was to be solved in Mx. I needed a newer computer to run that. Now I have the new computer. And this problem is in MX and a new computer.

I believe the old version of Cumulus didn't hard crash. This one, MX, is hard-failing fwiw.

Adding this: we get DSL drops by the egregious telephone utility concern. I can not handle this. I am unable to predict when or how many tines a da, it will occur. It would be handy if the program just sat there and played Zork or Sudoku until the DSL came back.

And added this: I started regular Cumulus. There are no values for Min Max Yesterday Last-Month , nor any totals. Could this be because I ran MX a few hours? Although it didn't start with any either ...

it's possible that a future build of MX might have a mechanism for retrying the connection to the station. I have no idea when that build might appear.

Running Cumulus 1 and MX alternately with the same data is not supported, it's not possible for me to maintain backwards compatibility.

I realize you are busy in this forum and need to spend the time actually coding.

Regards my house losing connection to the internet and thus Cumulus or MX quite or at least refuses to send out any more data. This is a fundamental problem in that once it shuts down, the user has no clue until the user returns to stare at the screen.

In my case, Weather-Underground doesn't get updated; my own logs are not extended with current data .. I believe therefore I actually lose data if the time exceeds the time the VP2 at 12 min intervals, stores data. Though I can't verify this.

We are out in the toolies. The stix ...rural ... losing Internet a few tines a day is commonplace.

I like Cumulus and especially like MX. However MX is quitting several times a day and requires restart manually. Cumulus-1 seems to keep logging but refuses to FTP out I believe.

Whereas Cumulus-1 may go a few days or a few hours before it decides there is an FTP error.

I'm mainly busy enjoying my retirement and my extended holiday ;)

I don't run Cumulus any more as I don't have a weather station, but when I did, I also lived in a remote location with unreliable internet, and I never had any problems with MX, it just recovered when the internet came back. Your problem appears to be the connection between MX and your station rather than the internet - or perhaps you are connecting from MX to your station over the internet? But in any case, whatever the cause, MX apparently doesn't handle it. Once I get around to working on MX again, I will try to schedule looking at this - unfortunately your problem is not one experienced by most users, and I have to prioritise my development effort accordingly (unless it's a very trivial change, which this is not).
