La Crosse WS-2355

Post by Olejul »

Reading the LA Crosse manual, it states 175 memory locations for storage of data.
Elsewhere in the forum is stated that Cumulus will automatically download the stored data when Cumulus is started (provided the oldest data in WS is younger than last time Cumulus was running).

Working with cable connection which should mean 8 sec update rate - can Cumulus and/or the PC be off for 175 X 8 sec = 23 minutes without loosing any data?

The station doesn't archive every reading; the interval is configurable between 1 minute and 60 minutes (I think), so at the 1 minute setting it can hold nearly three hours of data, and at the 60 minute setting just over a week. I'm not sure how you configure the interval; you probably need to use the software that came with it.

Yes, unfortunately you have to run Heavy Weather to set the logging interval.
