In Cumulus classic there is a setting to use a ten-minute average for the wind instead of a one-minute average. Is that setting available in Cumulus MX?

I think the 10 min is by default for MX. There is a setting to use wind speed avg from your station or to have MX calculate it.

I think the same setting should work in MX. If it doesn't appear on the settings page, you could try setting it via Cumulus.ini

Thanks, that did the trick.

In the web interface there is a check box to tell Cumulus whether to display the station's wind speed or to display the wind speed calculated by Cumulus. This corresponds to the Wind10MinAverage setting and/or the UseSpeedForAvgCalc in cumulus.ini.

Then if you tell it to use the calculated wind speed you tell it how many minutes to average (usually 2 (US) or 10 (ROW)) using the AvgSpeedMinutes setting. That has to be set in cumulus.ini, no web page equivalent.
