Topics about the Beta trials up to Build 3043, the last build by Cumulus's founder Steve Loft. It was by this time way out of Beta but Steve wanted to keep it that way until he made a decision on his and Cumulus's future.
I've tried to make Cumulus MX autostart minimised. Setting the run field on the file properties window to minimised doesn't work and neither does adding "/t" to the arguments field on the task's properties.
This isn't a huge deal, but when my parents decide to use the PC, they can accidentally close the window instead of minimising it even after telling them to numerous times...
I changed "/t" to "START /min" but that made no difference.
how and what is your full commandline to start cumulusmx in windows7? can you either post the full line of show screenshots in the task scheduler (if you use that)
Thanks, Simon. After editing the relevant code, it works fine. However, I'm now getting a cmd pop up before Cumulus MX starts, is that right? Surely, we only want the batch file to just start Cumulus MX?
you may only need to put in the word START in the program/script field, and then in the "add arguments" filed put
/min F:\CumulusMX\CumulusMX.exe
if that does not work try the batch file. it works here for me. though you need to edit it for the correct drive letter i think mine was set for C drive.
Yes, that's exactly what I've got except "C:" is "F:" in my case, but that's not the issue. A cmd pops up before CumulusMX is started. Is there a way to not allow the cmd to open at all?
Grimers wrote:That's very strange. A cmd opens, closes and then CumulusMX opens in its minimised state. I'm using exactly the same batch file as you've provided.
their are two commands in this task. opening a task (which is a "CMD" interpreter - ie DOS command) ) and the start command which is a DOS command to start a command prompt. if there is a popup and it closes its doing its job. not sure what else you want it to do.
Alternatively, you could create a shortcut to the batch file, and then alter its properties so that it starts minimized.
