Windows 7 new records bug

Post by rob »

Hi,
I installed windows 7 last night, and downloaded/installed cumulus this morning. It is a new install, and i have not imported cumulus data from before the upgrade. My problem is that i cannot access the 'all time records' tab of cumulus. Whether i click on the flashing new record button or on the view>All time records menu, the same error arises.
I have had a quick look around the forums and it doesn't seem like anyone else has reported this error, so i have included the bug report that was made.

Any help with what the problem may be would be much appreciated.

Thanks, Rob

Yes, this is quite a common error, and it's not specific to Windows 7.

Your system date format currently looks like this:

date/time : 2009-10-27, 12:00:01, 799ms

and when you first ran Cumulus, it looked like this:

exception message : '10/27/2009' is not a valid date.

When Cumulus asks Windows to parse the date in that format, Windows doesn't recognise it and throws an exception. I should probably trap the error and put up an explanatory message.
