YTD Rain is Zero

Topics about the Beta trials up to Build 3043, the last build by Cumulus's founder Steve Loft. It was by this time way out of Beta but Steve wanted to keep it that way until he made a decision on his and Cumulus's future.

YTD Rain is Zero

Post by grwkak »

Just checking here before I do this.

For some reason, in the Now tab on my PC and also on my webpage, the total yearly rainfall is zero. Not sure when this happened.

Looking at the datafiles, the raincounter seems correct (35.8 inches). The Davis console also shows the same thing

I can go into settings under yearly rainfall and enter 35.8 as the total (shows zero right now). Just concerned I may end up with doubled rainfall counts!

Thoughts?

Most likely a problem in your dayfile.txt - Cumulus calculates the annual total from the daily totals in that, see the FAQ. There will be an error message in the MX diags file if this is the case.

Thanks - that seems to be it. Tells me Error on line 8 of dayfile.txt: Input string was not in a correct format.

Looked at line 8 - and through the file. For the life of me I do not see an issue.

Removed line 8 - still an error. I assume line 8 is the 8th entry (from 2014).

I attached the file if you get a chance to glance at it.

You have lots of entries with 4-digit years. They have to be 2 digits, Cumulus writes them that way and expects them to stay that way.

Yes - many dates borked with 1 digit days and months as well.

Fixed - thanks!
