Temperature spike needs correction

please see the attached image anyone? Cumuls 1.9.4.

I've had a few instances where I've had to go back and edit data due to equipment failure but I cannot get rid of this spike when my Davis Vantage Vue somehow recorded -60 odd C on 11/9/16 at 7.00am in the morning.

The low temp in dayfile.txt is 9.8c for that day and low temp from Monthly records is 4.4c.

Can someone help where I can go and make a file edit to get rid of this erroneous spike?

Thanks

You will need to edit the Nov16Log.txt file and find the line(s) with the errant temperature. Use a decent editor such as NotePad++ and make a copy of the file before you start ;)

PS: I was disappointed to see you weren't in Teddington!

You need to edit the file Sep16log.txt, with Cumulus switched off. You will need to find the entries for around 0700 on 11/09/2016 and edit the erroneous temperature records. The Wiki page is at http://wiki.sandaysoft.com/a/Monthly_lo ... a_problems. There are comprehensive instructions on editing the data files.

I think it is the Sep16log.txt that needs editing.

Yeah I did think twice about what month it was - but looked at TwoTonTed's location and the temperature displayed on the graph and plumped for UK format / September :-)
