Cumulus-MX Crashing

Topics about the Beta trials up to Build 3043, the last build by Cumulus's founder Steve Loft. It was by this time way out of Beta but Steve wanted to keep it that way until he made a decision on his and Cumulus's future.

Cumulus-MX Crashing

Post by cc_rider »

Hi Steve,

I've been happy with how MX build 3038 has been working on my last windows 10 machine. I just upgraded to a super fast I7 64bit (from A10) and now MX is crashing. Attached is a screen print of the desktop at the time. Any clues as to solving this would be most appreciated. I'll help wherever I can. I've never seen it try to use one of your user folders... hmmm

Regards,
Chris

It looks like you aren't starting it as administrator (and haven't used the netsh command to allow it to be started without administrator privilege) as in the instructions.

It's not trying use any user folders, by the way, that's the path to the source files on my PC, to aid diagnosis (although this is hampered slightly when the latest release isn't being used).

You are correct. After reading the first post(again) I realized that the link is not elevated. Also, I got a notice from windows firewall that it wanted access to the outside world. My startup link now runs in admin mode so all is good. I did notice that some of the records are off the charts.. it was never 51c here in June... or -26.7c in March... HAHA.

Regards.
