Is there some way to import all data records from EasyWeather.dat file to Cumulus?
I like Cumulus very much, but I wouldn't like to lose all data records.
Many thanks for any possible ideas.
Gabriel.

Re: EasyWeather to Cumulus data migration
Gabriel,
I had the same requirement about a year ago, so I threw together some bits of REXX code to do the conversion.
I have not touched the code (or REXX) since then, but I might have a go at your EasyWeather data if you'd like me to.
If so, use the PM button at the bottom to send me a private message and attach your EasyWeather.dat file.
(Don't expect overnight miracles - it may take me a few days to get things to work again
)

Re: EasyWeather to Cumulus data migration
Hi,
Along the same lines, I am attempting to import easyweather.dat.
To date, I have massaged the easyweather data into two monthly files for cumulus i.e Jan10log.txt and Feb10log.dat.
What else is needed to allow Cumulus to recognise this data. Do you need to append data to the day file, or will Cumulus generate it etc.
Thanks and well done,
John S.

Re: EasyWeather to Cumulus data migration
You don't need to do anything else as far as the monthly logs are concerned, but there is currently no automatic way in Cumulus to get the dayfile.txt entries created. A few things won't work properly (e.g. "This Month" etc) unless the dayfile entries exist.johns wrote:What else is needed to allow Cumulus to recognise this data. I can do the conversion for you and create the extra data: dayfile, info for alltime etc.
Send me a PM if you are interested.
