MX Graphs start from scratch when Pi rebooted

Topics about the Beta trials up to Build 3043, the last build by Cumulus's founder Steve Loft. It was by this time way out of Beta but Steve wanted to keep it that way until he made a decision on his and Cumulus's future.

MX Graphs start from scratch when Pi rebooted

Post by Big Daddy »

Hi all,
Have been running MX really well for some time now with no problem but I noticed when I needed to move my PI that when I switched it back on the MX graphs started again from the switch on time. I did a reboot of the PI and the same happened. I am on the latest 3041 build and don't know if this is something that started happening since I upgraded or if it was there before. My PI has been really stable so haven't needed to reboot it very often.

Its not a major issue as it catches up eventually so just wondering if anybody else has seen it.

Thanks
Andy

The usual cause is a problem with your data log(s). If you look at the latest mx diags file there may be an error message telling you which line in which file to look at. I believe there is a FAQ about this.

Thanks Steve. It pointed to an error in the Sept16 log file while on further inspection had a string of "NULL's" at the beginning. Once removed and reloaded it has sorted itself.

Thing to note for me. In future check the FAQ as well as the forum for answers and also look at the MX Diags.

Help is appreciated.
