NOAA Rain

Topics about the Beta trials up to Build 3043, the last build by Cumulus's founder Steve Loft. It was by this time way out of Beta but Steve wanted to keep it that way until he made a decision on his and Cumulus's future.

NOAA Rain

Post by Mapantz »

My beady eye caught something on the NOAA report today:

http://www.warehamwx.co.uk/cumulus/clim ... 2016&mo=03

The total rainfall for March shows 90.6mm - which is what shows on my console.
If you swap to year:

http://www.warehamwx.co.uk/cumulus/climate.php?yr=2016

It seems to show 97.2mm for March, 12 rain days vs 10 on the monthly one.

I've never altered any rainfall records within Cumulus, so i'm a bit baffled!

The 2016 report will have been done from the current state of dayfile.txt. The March report will have been done back at the end of March. It's way too late now to say what might have happened back then, but you can look at dayfile.txt now to see what entries you currently have for March and compare it to the March report. It's likely that dayfile.txt is not the same now as it was at the end of March, regarding the entries for March - for whatever reason.

Thanks Steve. I'll take a look at the dayfile later. It's such a small detail that i'm surprised I spotted it to be honest, but as you say, it's a bit late now, in terms of logs. :)
