Use of EWpressureoffset with a Fine Offset Station

Is the use of EWpressureoffset implemented in CumulusMX?
I have EWpressureoffset set in the cumulus.ini [Station] section for a Fine Offset station but the pressure offset is still being calculated from the values in the base station memory.
Maybe Cumulus only uses EWpressureoffset if the offset read from station memory appears to be rubbish? If so, wouldn't it be better to always use EWpressureoffset if it is set (and non-zero)? This would give consistent results and would be good for anyone who has a Fine Offset at a remote location and so cannot easily set the relative pressure on the base station after a power off.
